Adrenaline Premieres at UMass
Adrenaline debuted their 2009 show, 'Rebel Without a Cause', at the Bowker Auditorium at UMass Amherst on November 19. The group was invited to perform as a part of the Marimba Bands & Ensembles Concert directed by Thomas Hannum. "UMass has a special connection with South Hadley High as we have alumni teaching there and each year a number of our students come to UMass from that music program," said Hannum. The show choir wowed the crowd and proved that the best is yet to come!

TigerPride Special Performance a Hit!
The TigerPride Marching Band held a special performance of their 2009 field show 'Rush and Roll' on November 21. Over 100 family members and friends packed the bleachers at SHHS to enjoy the show. SENIOR MOMENTS

Connie Flachs '10
has lent her musical talents to the Concert Choir for the last four years and to Vocal Roar for three. "I really like being a part of the music department because everyone there is so supportive," she says. Another big part of Connie's life is dance. She has studied ballet for four years and plans to audition with dance companies in New York and Boston in the coming year. Her future plans also include attending Mt. Holyoke College as a dance major. Her favorite subject is psychology and in her spare time she likes to bake, knit, and act.

Mackie Godbout '10 is a multi-talented brass musician who performs with the Marching, Jazz and Concert Bands, as well as Winter Percussion. Her instruments include trumpet, tuba, flugle and auxiliary percussion. "I like the way we sound and the power we project as a group," says Mackie. Her favorite class is music theory and she hopes to attend to Norwich University after high school. Outside of the music department, Mackie plays goalie for the lacrosse team and has achieved the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in the Young Marines. She enjoys listening to country and Irish punk rock music.
