Music Committee Report

The South Hadley School Committee met on Tuesday, September 1, at which time the Music Committee presented its report on the High School band and instrumental music programs. The committee, which consisted of school committee members, music instructors, parents and high school students, was charged with developing a vision for the program, identifying goals, and making recommendations. The committee's recommendations included: strengthening the music program by offering music lessons to students at Mosier Elementary, increasing the visibility of the marching band in the community, providing opportunities for volunteers to work with the program, and offering new music courses, to name a few. A full copy of the report will be available at the SHMPA Planning meeting on September 8.
