SENIOR MOMENT

Julia Lamontagne '11 is the Senior Drum Major for the Tiger Pride Marching Band. A member of the band for the past 4 years, Julia plays the alto saxaphone, baratone saxophone, and euphonium. "Participating in the marching band has been an incredible experience," says Julia. "It's taught me leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. We work very hard to learn the music and drill for our show each season so that we can represent South Hadley High School with class, integrity, and pride. It means a lot to us when our school and community appreciates what we do and all the effort that goes into it." Julia is also a member of the National Honor Society and SHHS Track Team. She gives back to her community by volunteering as an assistant track coach for individuals with disabilities through the CHD Disability Reource Program. She plans to attend college after high school to study chemistry and is applying to the Army ROTC.
